TomoTrip Guide Activity Terms

These Guide Activity Terms (the "Terms") set out the basic rules that apply to anyone who registers with and operates as a guide on TomoTrip (the "Service") (each, a "Guide").
In addition to the Service's general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, Guides agree to these Terms before engaging in activities such as guiding tourists, responding to consultations, proposing experiences, and cooperating with local shops and sponsor stores.
These Terms establish the basic rules for Guides registered with the Service when guiding tourists, responding to consultations, proposing experiences, and cooperating with local shops and sponsor stores. Guides shall conduct their activities with a clear understanding of these Terms and any related guidelines.
Guide registration requires the submission of information such as the applicant's name, contact details, profile, and identity verification documents.
The TomoTrip operations team will review the submitted information, and applicants may begin guide activities once their registration is approved.
Depending on the result of the review, registration may not be approved. The specific reasons for approval or rejection may not be disclosed in detail in individual cases.
To support safe operation of the Service, Guides are required to submit identity verification documents.
If identity verification has not been completed, accepting reservations, receiving Guide fees, and using certain features may be restricted. Identity verification documents are handled securely in accordance with the Service's Privacy Policy.
Guides may provide local guidance to tourists, respond to consultations, propose experiences, respond to "Things I Want to Do" posts, share information about sponsor stores, and introduce the local area via SNS.
However, conduct that violates laws or public order and morals, dangerous conduct that threatens the safety of tourists or third parties, and operating any business that requires a license or permit without the required authorization are prohibited.
Fees for guidance and experiences provided by a Guide to tourists are based on the content presented and agreed upon within the Service's app.
TomoTrip may receive a portion of Guide fees as a system usage fee or operating service fee. Specific rates and conditions will be determined separately.
The timing and method of payment of Guide fees shall follow rules separately established by TomoTrip.
In principle, consultations with tourists, proposals, reservation confirmations, and payments shall take place within the Service's app.
Important details such as the meeting place, meeting time, experience content, and fees must be clearly confirmed through the in-app chat or similar means.
Before payment, please refrain from exchanging unnecessary personal information such as home addresses, phone numbers, or SNS accounts through external channels.
Guides shall not arrange direct bookings, direct payments, or external transactions with tourists they have met through the Service without going through TomoTrip.
Directing tourists to external channels such as LINE, telephone, SNS, or email in order to conduct transactions outside of TomoTrip is prohibited.
If a violation is confirmed, TomoTrip may take measures such as account suspension, holding of Guide fee payments, or termination of registration.
Guides shall give due consideration to the safety of tourists and must not engage in conduct such as the following:
If it is difficult to ensure safety due to poor physical condition, bad weather, disasters, or traffic conditions, do not force the activity to proceed; promptly contact the tourist and the TomoTrip operations team.
If a cancellation or change becomes necessary after a reservation has been made, please contact the tourist and the operations team through the app as soon as possible.
Repeated no-shows, frequent lateness, or being unreachable may result in restrictions on activities or termination of registration.
If trouble arises, the parties involved should respond to each other in good faith and, where necessary, promptly report the matter to the TomoTrip operations team.
Guides may review announcements and store information from sponsor stores registered with TomoTrip and use them when guiding tourists or introducing the local area on SNS.
However, descriptions that differ from the facts, exaggerated expressions, and expressions that appear to guarantee advertising effectiveness are prohibited.
When using store images, videos, logos, or similar materials, please use them only within the scope permitted by TomoTrip or the relevant sponsor store.
TomoTrip operates a "Guide Activity Support Program" that supports Guides in their local-community activities.
Depending on activity records, contributions, and operational confirmation as defined by TomoTrip — such as careful guidance to tourists, proposals in response to "Things I Want to Do" posts, introducing visitors to sponsor stores, sharing the local area on SNS, and making use of sponsor store information — a Guide may become eligible for activity support benefits.
The content of activity support benefits, eligibility conditions, timing of provision, and any title displays will be separately determined by the TomoTrip operations team.
This program does not guarantee any specific income, results, number of store visits, or amount of compensation.
If a Guide violates these Terms, TomoTrip may, without prior notice, take measures such as limiting features, suspending listings, suspending the acceptance of reservations, placing Guide fee payments on hold pending confirmation, or terminating registration.
Similar measures may also be taken if the identity verification information is found to be false, or if dangerous or harmful conduct is confirmed.
TomoTrip is a service that supports matching, consultations, reservations, and information sharing between Guides and tourists. It does not guarantee any particular experience content, earnings, ratings, completion of reservations, visitors to sponsor stores, or SNS effectiveness.
Service content may be changed or canceled due to factors such as weather, transportation, store circumstances, tourist circumstances, or Guide circumstances.
TomoTrip may modify these Terms as necessary.
The modified Terms shall take effect from the time they are posted on the Service's app or website. For significant changes, users will be notified to the extent practicable.
These Terms shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
In the event of any dispute relating to the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the TomoTrip operations office shall be the exclusive court of first instance by agreement.
